Local Visitor attractions in our part of the highlands

Where to start, there are so many!?1 whether you are a walker, outdoor sports enthusiast, wildlife watcher, or keen on the highlands rich history, there is something for you close by.

Choose from amongst many others:

Urquhart castle, less than 3 miles, splendidly commanding the banks of loch ness on Urquhart bay.

Loch ness monster exhibitions (2) within a mile, at the entrance to the glen, alongside crafts and shopping.

Glen Affric – walk in one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland, just 14 miles away. And you can visit dog falls too!

 Corrimony -  bronzeage cairn and rspb reserve just 6 miles or so further up glen urquhart

Divach falls- 100ft high and only approx 4 miles

Walks and/or mountain bike rides around drumnadrochit, urquhart  bay and in glen Urquhart forest. All no more than 3 miles away.

Balnain Bike park – specially constructed mountain bike skills challenge area only 3 miles.

Highland riding centre, approx 2 miles.

6 golf clubs within 20 miles or less, to please hackers and tigers alike!

Loch ness fishing on private guided boat trips, just a couple of miles away.
